Hi! I’m Ka, and Golden Serpents is my creative space where linocut, illustration and sewing come together. The project was born from a need to create without boundaries, just for the love of it. After years of working with clients as a graphic designer, I missed the hands-on creative process and doing something purely for myself.
I love vibrant colors and ornamental shapes, creating pieces that feel simple yet full of life. I find satisfaction in carving and stamping my designs, pouring time and dedication into every step. The slow carving process is meditative, and while it’s hard to call a piece “finished,” the energy of stamping pushes me to keep going.
Each item here is designed, carved, stamped and stitched entirely by me. I enjoy experimenting and learning with different materials and techniques, making each item not perfect, but unique.
Wash your item inside out with cold water, using a delicate or hand wash cycle for added durability. Air drying is recommended to prevent heat from affecting the design. If needed, iron the piece inside out or use a protective cloth to avoid damaging the print.
Linocut is a process where a design is carved into a block of linoleum, creating a kind of stamp. Once inked, it transfers the design onto fabric or paper. It’s slow, meticulous, and each print holds its own imperfections, making it one-of-a-kind.
My artwork is inspired by the intricate beauty of nature, especially organic shapes and patterns. I love working with textures and contrasts, finding balance between simplicity and detail.
At the moment, I’m not taking commissions. I prefer to focus on creating pieces that come from my own creative process, allowing the work to evolve naturally. BUT, if you have an interesting project don’t hesitate to write me, I have two more projects where I do accept commissions.
